Oh my, nearly forgot our other exciting news!!!!

Kaitlyn VERY FIRST permanent tooth is coming through. Can you see it right up the back on her left side (your right as you look at it),just poking the very tip out. You might have to click on the picture to make it pop up larger so you can see it properly. She's so excited! Still no sign of any loose teeth yet though. But she's happy about this one.

Meet Sally.....

She's a two week old tenterfield terrier. We went to have a look at the breeder's today at a male that is four weeks old, but when we saw her we fell in love with her (she's from a different litter obviously). I've taken a photo of her and also a photo of her mum. She's a pedigree, so at least we're not going to have health problems down the track. *touch wood. We can't pick her up until the 8th November. So Kate is going to have lots of fun getting her bed and toys ready.

House update.....

We drove by the new house today on the way home and it looks like the brickies are back to work finally. They started last Monday, but then we didn't see them for the rest of the week. Looks as though they worked Friday. It's starting to actually get exciting now!

Our weekend...

Craig and I did our skippers testing for our boat licence yesterday. They're making them compulsory in 2007, so at least we have that out of the way now. That was Saturday. then Sunday we helped plant 200 plants down on the foreshore of the caravan park and had a sausage sizzle afterwards. Umm, how many did I plant. Maybe two?

Sweet dreams........

No, not you puss. Out you go.

Craig just poked his head into Kate's room and found puss all snuggled up (albeit hogging the bed). Come 3 in the morning though he'll end up waking her because he needs to go to the toilet. Like he usually wakes Craig when he's home. hehe. And it's not a nice wakeup. He jumps onto Craig's chest on all fours somehow from the floor up onto the bed. I don't know how he does it, but Craig wakes up and there he is, staring him right in the face. He doesn't do it when Craig's away. All I get are loud meows. Not sure I could handle having a face staring back at me like that at 3am.

I don't feel well..........

This is what I heard from both of them after an hour at the park Sunday afternoon. Kate and Emma had spent practically the whole weekend together, until Kate chickened out of a sleepover at Emma's place Saturday night, and Craig and I had to leave a bbq at around 9pm to go and pick her up, as she'd changed her mind. I told Emma to come over Sunday to have breakfast with us, pj's and all. The girls had so much fun. She turned up 7.30am Sunday and snuggled into bed with Kate for a couple of minutes, then we all got up and had pancakes.

Went to the marina to buy icecream and then fudge, then drove out to see Gary, Lucy and the boys working on the skirting boards in their investment property, which is just around the corner from where our new place is being built. The girls had fun digging in the sand on the empty land next door. Then I took 4 kids to the markets and got my fruit and veges and some cakes for afternoon tea. Afterwards, I left Craig to stay and help and took the girls to see how the house was coming along and then to the park next door. They spent most of the time on that twirly thing, and then wanted to go to another park, which we did. Uh oh, it had the same twirly thing. Of course, the girls thought it was so much fun. I saw it was 4.30 and almost time for Emma to go home, but they wanted to have a quick play back at our place before I took Emma home, so I told them we had to leave, and it was very quiet in the back seat. (unusual for two 6 year old girls). I asked them if they were ok, but both said they weren't feeling well.

Raced home, and Emma had her head in the toilet crying for her poor mum :( Luckily home is only around the corner, so into the car again we went. I felt so bad taking her home like that. Once home I think she was a little better (mums have that effect) and wanted Kate to have a little play before we went home, but Kate wasn't feeling well either. So at 5.30 I had her bathed, in her pj's and with panadol. Early night for us.

Bailey here's your frog pictures!

I know you wanted to see this on the camera before you went home tonight, but I forgot all about it. Sorry mate. (Revelle, even just looking at these pictures makes me want to run, haha)

Spring is here!

Finally we had a nice day yesterday. Craig has been itching to get back out into the boat and suggested we head out off Hillarys to give the engine a run. So he headed down to the marina to put the boat in whilst I picked up Kate from school and meet him down there. Her friend Emma wanted to come too, and when Emma's brother heard she was going for a ride, of course he wanted to come too, The more the merrier :) No time to get changed, we wanted to get down and back before sunset so they went straight in their uniforms where I had fairy bread ready to go for afternoon tea. The kids had a fantastic time. It was a bit choppy offshore but inside the marina itself was nice and calm so we let the kids all have a drive. Beats homework!

More of Kate at assembly

As much as I look at her and think how alike we are when I was that age, she'll turn around and do something that never in a million years would I have done. Take this for example.... I hated public speaking. I still don't like it.

Kate at assembly

Long but of course we think it's cute. Kate's the second from the left at the front (white top pink pants and pink bows in her hair - of course) They didn't have to wear their school uniform this day since they were doing an assembly item. So of course, Kate had to wear pink....

Two firsts! (athletics continued)

And here with two first ribbons!!!! YAY!!!!

Tormenting.....

Amazing how young they learn to do this. Video quality poor on zoom on our poor little camera.

Kate's first athletics carnival

She was so excited to finally be able to take part with the kids after two years (at kindy then preprimary). This has been a long time coming and she had a great day! This is us getting ready for the day.
